In short, here are some guiding ideas:
- Events should create value for attendees, put forward important ideas or learnings, and benefit the community. They should not exclusively be a sales event.
- Skillion Spaces can accommodate up to 45 attendees within the current configuration. In special circumstances we can reconfigure the space to allow more attendees (custom pricing applies).
- Events can be hybrid, with both in-person attendees and live online attendees.
- Events should be hosted outside of business hours (8am - 6pm weekdays) noting enough time to bump in and out.
- Our view of events is that they can help to create community and share benefit to members. To encourage this, while offsetting costs, we have a pricing structure that encourages events that bring in 30+ people per event (with guests signing in via QR code at the door).
- Members may host events at no cost, providing they can attract 30+ attendees. For events with fewer than 30 attendees, there is a $130 fee to cover cleaning costs.
- Non-members may host events subject to availability, with a cost of $230 (30+ attendees) or $430 (fewer than 30 attendees)
- Beyond use of the space, Skillion Spaces can assist with personnel, microsites and ticketing, publicity, catering or production assistance. Please reach out to discuss those options.
